Nutritional Therapy

What is nutritional therapy?

Nutritional therapy can be used to ease the symptoms of many conditions, including irritable bowel syndrome, stress, candida, headaches, food intolerance, pre-menstrual tension, skin conditions such as acne and eczema, insomnia and mild depression. It has also been used successfully to aid weight management.

Nutritional therapy at Milligan & Hill

Our nutritionists look at the triggers and symptoms of patients’ conditions by carrying out a health questionnaire which covers the individual’s medical history, diet and general health. Food intolerance testing is also available.

Your consultation

The information from your health questionnaire is discussed in a one-hour consultation which culminates in the design of a personal nutrition plan. The bespoke plan includes dietary recommendations and supplements, if required, to suit your lifestyle. Follow up consultations may be required for people with many health issues. Improvements can be fairly rapid: most people report favourable changes occurring from within the first month.

Health insurance

Please note that most health insurance providers will not cover the cost of nutritional therapy, although certain tests may be covered - please check before booking.
