What is ergonomics?
Ergonomics deals with the relationship between a person and his or her job, identifying any potential risks, implementing improvements and treating work-related disorders.
Ergonomics at Milligan & Hill
Milligan & Hill are experts in both physiotherapy and ergonomics, which gives us an edge when it comes to workplace health. Many of our specialist chartered physiotherapists have MScs or post-graduate diplomas, all have received in-depth ergonomics training and the team benefits from ongoing in-house training and product update sessions.
Range of services
Ergonomics is often associated with the prevention and treatment of disorders such as RSI (repetitive strain injury), which can affect office workers. Although this certainly is a core area, ergonomics isn’t restricted to the office environment. Services range from risk assessments for factory workers to moving and handling training for care workers to vehicle assessments for sales representatives and much more.
How we work
Our nationwide ergonomics team has experience working with a wide range of organisations, fitting seamlessly into their operations and working alongside departments such as occupational health and personnel when required.
We can provide ad-hoc ergonomics services to both individuals and businesses but are equally adept at running a full time clinic at our clients’ premises. Our on-site clinics are designed to integrate with any existing Occupational Health or Health and Safety teams and can cover part or all of a client’s ergonomics requirements. All clients are looked after by our London-based administration team who help to monitor SLAs and to administer our Quality Assurance Programme which includes a peer review of all clinical reports.
